As someone who usually finds peace in the open water - whether it’s a broad, mill pond, or the sea - I’m always on the lookout for new swimming experiences. Recently, I swapped my usual natural settings for something a little more urban: the rooftop infinity pool at the Art’otel in London. I’d heard great things about it and I’m happy to report it didn’t disappoint!

To access the pool, you first need to book an aerobics class. I’ll admit, it was far more energetic than my usual gentle swim, but it added a fun twist to my latest adventure. After the class, you’re free to enjoy the heated rooftop pool and the hot tub at your leisure both perched high above the city. The views are spectacular—London’s skyline stretches out before you with every lap.
The fee for the class includes a hot drink and a pastry in the hotel cafe. We all know there’s something special about warming up and enjoying a sweet treat after a swim, especially when you’re immersed in stylish surroundings and a vibrant atmosphere.

Swimming somewhere new always brings a sense of adventure and the Art’otel’s rooftop pool is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, if you find yourself in the area or fancy a jolly, why not give it a go? You might just discover a new favourite spot to unwind, meet fellow swimmers and enjoy the thrill of something different.
